Carole Ann (Waldhalm) Wavra

Carole Ann Wavra, 85 of Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Enderlin, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, North Dakota.

Carole was born on May 25, 1934, the daughter of Clayton and Ava Lorraine (Wilson) Waldhalm in Sheldon, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Enderlin, graduating from Enderlin High School in 1952. Carole was united in marriage to Maurice “Morry” Wavra on February 14, 1953 in Enumclaw, Washington.

After a year in Washington they returned to North Dakota and resided in Alice, where they owned and operated a grocery store for the next five years. They then moved to Enderlin and in 1964, built and operated Morry’s Super Club. They continued to operate Morry’s until they sold it in 1982. They moved to Fargo and lived there until 1993, retiring to sunny Yuma, Arizona where they resided until 2017. They’ve spent the last two years living in Fargo near family.

Carole enjoyed reading, gardening, photography and going to the lake. Her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carole is survived by her loving husband, Morry of Fargo, ND; children, Patti (Don) Godtel of Great falls, MT; Mike (Wanda) Wavra of Fargo, ND; Jodi Forcucci of Altus, OK; Amy (Donald) Thilmony of Fargo, ND; Sue (Jeff) Rich of Omaha, NE; Sara (Brock) Laber of Omaha, NE; thirteen grandchildren, Beau (Marde) Godtel, Andy Godtel, Rachel (Gabe) Winchester, Lauren (Jacob) Bontje, Joey Forcucci, Danny (Rachael) Forcucci, Nicholas (Sarah) Thilmony, Chelsie (Shane) Kennedy, Molly (Matt) Navratil, Emily Rich, Sadie Rich, Kasey (John) Urzendowski and Anthony (Brittany) Laber; sixteen great -grandchildren, one brother, Jeff Waldhalm of Colorado Springs, CO; six sisters, Pat Hanna of Omaha, NE; Sharon (Harley) Lautt of Enderlin, ND; Jerri Dunham of Fargo, ND; Mary (Vernon) Buhr of Enderlin, ND; Linda (Kenneth) Grant of Valley City, ND and Allison (Kevin) Killoran of Burlington, KY; brother-in-law, Donny Redmond of Helena, MT; numerous nieces and nephews.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Brian Waldhalm, two sisters, Elaine Hardebeck and Janice Redmond.
