Ernest William Stamnes Jr. 90 of Enderlin, North Dakota, formerly of Lisbon died Monday, November 25, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota.
Ernie was born on November 21, 1929, the son of Ernest and Anna (Ala) Stamnes Sr. in Buttzville, North Dakota. He attended school in Buttzville and Lisbon. Ernie was united in marriage to Pamela Pizzie in Bampton, England on September 24, 1955. He served 24 years in the United States Air Force, after his retirement they returned to the Lisbon area. Ernie started working at Melroe/Bobcat and would eventually retire as a Technical Service Writer in 1992.
Ernie never stood still, he always stayed busy. He enjoyed sailing, hunting and doing handy work around the house but his main love was toward his ministry work having dedicated the rest of his life to Jehovah God and helping others learn about the bible’s promise of a better future for mankind.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Pamela Stamnes of Enderlin, ND; sons, Ronald (Kali) Stamnes of Chugiak, AK; Shaun (Deanne) Stamnes of Green Bay, WI; four grandchildren, Aubrey (Jon) Northy, Autumn (Sean), Hoban, Dane (Jordan) Stamnes and Brooke (Janez) Sturm; sister, Sylvia Fineberg of Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry and Fred, sister, Alice Wyman.
