Florence Lucille Anderson of Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Sheldon, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin, North Dakota.
Florence was born on February 6, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Trisko) Mark in Coburn Township of rural Ransom County, North Dakota. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Enderlin High School in 1943. Florence was united in marriage to Maurice Anderson on August 7, 1943 at East Greenwich, Rhode Island, where Maurice was stationed as a Navy Sea Bee. In the fall of 1947, they returned to North Dakota to farm near Sheldon, North Dakota. Florence and Maurice farmed together with their three young children until his sudden death on February 27, 1961. She continued to run the farm, milking cows, raising cattle and field work. Florence later married Kenneth Anderson on December 28, 1962. They farmed together until Kenneth passed away on May 18, 1987. Florence remained on the farm until moving to Fargo in 2011.
Florence was an excellent cook and everyone loved her caramel rolls and her homemade buns. She had a large garden and won many ribbons at the county fair. She enjoyed Bowling and playing Bingo. Florence was also a member of the local homemaker’s club, Immanuel Methodist Church, Sheldon and attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin.
Florence is survived by her children, Bob (Maggie) Anderson of Sheldon, ND; Patricia (Vernell) Lindemann of Enderlin, ND and Terry (Paz) Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Renae Wagner, Dan Anderson, Aaron (Terri) Lindemann, Kirk (Sarah) Lindemann, Brett (Kris) Lindemann and Maria (Mark) Huston and Brian (Burce) Anderson; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Maurice, husband, Kenneth and nine siblings, Anna Mae Bunn, Edward Mark, Albert Mark, Barbara Marshall, Carl Mark, Frank Mark, Doris Walhood, Joseph Mark and Velma Mark.
