Floyd Vernon Hanson

Floyd Vernon Hanson of Fargo, formerly of Fort Ransom, North Dakota died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, North Dakota.

Floyd was born on July 27, 1930, the son of Hans and Annie (Simmons) Hanson in Litchville, ND

He was raised and educated in the Fort Ransom area. Floyd was united in marriage to Mavis Anderson on August 21, 1955 in Fort Ransom.

Floyd enjoyed eating steak, collecting International Harvester model tractors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Floyd is survived by four sons, Brent (Kristi) Hanson of Fargo, ND; Brian (Shelly) Hanson of Minot, ND; Jeff (LaDonna) Hanson of Park Rapids, MN and Darren (Billie) Hanson of Gig Harbor, WA; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mavis (2015), grandson, Matthew Hanson, sister, Edna Satreaas and brother, Marlyn Hanson.

Interment: Standing Rock Cemetery, rural Fort Ransom
