Gary Lynnes Obituary

Gary Ardell Lynnes, 72 of Verona, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota.

Gary was born on August 29, 1947, in rural Ransom County, North Dakota the son of Dagny Halberhaus. He was raised by his mother and received his education at Cleveland Consolidated Country School in Isley Township. As a young man he took over the daily operation of the farm in rural Verona. Throughout the years he farmed the land and raised various animals, such as cattle, sheep and pigs. Gary loved the life that farming provided for him.

Gary enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children and truly loved just spending time outdoors especially with his dog, Bell. During his retirement years he was able to spend time going to horse shows, hunting and fishing with his close friends, Cory and Robyn Jalbert.

Gary is survived by his children, Doniven (Kim) Lynnes of Ellendale, ND their children, Justina and Jade Lynnes; Kari (Greg) Hahn of Lawrence, KS their children, Kierstin, Connor and Aden; Ty (Javier) Lynnes of Indianapolis, IN.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, grandson, Fredrick and brother, Earl.

Visitation: Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Verona, ND.

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Verona, ND.
