Grace Loraine (McCann) Yeager

Grace L. Yeager, 94 of Lisbon, North Dakota, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Essentia Health Fargo, North Dakota.

Grace was born December 29, 1923 in rural Elliot, North Dakota, to Walter and Amelia (Urbach) McCann. She attended grade school in rural Elliot and graduated from Elliot High School. She then went to Valley City State for one year. Grace was united in marriage to Raymond Yeager on September 11, 1949 in Lisbon. They made their home in Elliot and moved to Lisbon in the 1980s.

Grace taught school for seven years and also worked as a teachers’ aide in Lisbon Public Schools for eleven years. She also worked as a receptionist at Ransom County Public Health for several years until her retirement.

Grace enjoyed crafts, crocheting, embroidery and chicken scratch. She was a known good homemaker.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Vicki Yeager of Jamestown, ND; son, Kevin (Melody) Yeager of Harshaw, WI; sister, Maxine (Eldon) Greij of Holland, MI; numerous nieces and nephews.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond; two brothers Lyle and Morris McCann.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon, ND
