Lana C. Jankowski, 77 of Nome, North Dakota, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, North Dakota.
Lana was born on April 12, 1942, the daughter of Marvin and Ann (Thompson) Imboden in Valley City, North Dakota. She attended country school in Elliott, North Dakota and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1960. Lana was united in marriage to Jerome Jankowski on November 26, 1960 in Britton, South Dakota. They lived in Beach and Beulah, North Dakota during Jerome’s teaching career. They moved to Nome in 1997.
Lana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed restoring antique dolls, woodworking, sewing and making quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lana is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerome Jankowski of Nome, ND; daughter, Lori (David) Ost of Paducah, KY; sons, Jeri (Beth) Jankowski of Beulah, ND; Shawn (Charlene) Jankowski of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Lana was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tim Jankowski and brother, Ron Imboden.
