Linda Jean Grothe

Linda Jean Grothe, 62 of Lisbon, North Dakota died unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2019 at her home.

Linda was born on December 4, 1956, the daughter of Kenneth and Charleen (Anderson) Grothe in Lisbon, North Dakota. She was raised in Fort Ransom, North Dakota and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1975. Linda attended St. Luke’s Nursing School in Fargo, graduating in 1978. She worked as a nurse and nursing supervisor in various locations in the United States until returning to Lisbon in 2006.

Linda enjoyed crafts, especially jewelry making and crochet, and volunteering at Sod Buster Days in Fort Ransom. She was also active at her church and had a very strong faith.

Linda is survived by her parents, Ken and Charleen Grothe of Fargo, ND; sisters, Carol (John) McCann of Lisbon, ND; Serine (John Calvin) Calvin-Grothe of Fargo, ND; brother, Dale (Marsha Azure) Grothe of Moorhead, MN; nieces Megan (Byron) McCann Engberg, Kirsten Grothe, nephew Matthew Grothe, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her niece, Mary Jo McCann.

Memorial Service: Friday, July 26, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at Bethany on University Chapel, Fargo, ND.

Interment: Standing Rock Cemetery, Fort Ransom, ND
