Michael Wayne Kenyon

Michael Wayne Kenyon 68, of Lisbon, North Dakota died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, North Dakota.

Mike was born on July 13, 1950, the son of Harold and Lettie (Severson) Kenyon in Valley City, North Dakota. He attended Hanson Township Country School and after 5th grade attended school in Verona, graduating in 1968. He went on to the Wahpeton School of Science receiving a degree in Diesel Technology. Mike also served six years with the North Dakota National Guard. He returned to the family farm in rural Englevale and farmed until retiring in 1998. He then moved to Lisbon, where Mike was a partner at Lisbon Oil Company for a few years. Mike also worked at KBO Potatoes, the State Highway Department and most recently at BS Farms in Englevale.

Mike enjoyed working on his antique tractors, camping, fishing, watching westerns on tv and playing dice “shaking for rounds”. He truly enjoyed time spent with his children, especially his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his son, Ryan (Nikki) Kenyon of Lisbon, ND; daughter, Kelly (Court) Schutt of Fargo, ND; four grandchildren, Aiden, Willow and Libbie Schutt and Rory Kenyon; his lady friend, Kathy Dick of Lisbon, ND; brother, Neil (Phyllis) Kenyon of Apache Junction, AZ; three sisters, Audrey (Lee) Wood of Gilbert, AZ; Kay Scharff of Spokane, WA and Florence (Dennis) Holm of Huron, SD; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Alice Kenyon and brother-in-law, John Scharff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC 400 Fund) 418 5th Ave. W. Lisbon, ND 58054.
