Ramona J. Bartl, 81 of Gwinner, North Dakota died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota.
Ramona Joy Robins was born March 10, 1937 to Edward and Marie (Harness) Robins in Oakes North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm in the Ludden area and during her high school years her parents moved into Oakes where she graduated from high school. She won the Betty Crocker Homemaker of the year award her Senior year of high school and eventually would share her talent with her family. After high school Ramona went to work for Northwestern Bell as an operator. She married Kenneth Bartl on October 20, 1957 in Oakes. Ramona and Kenneth made their home in Gwinner where they raised their four sons.
Ramona later worked for a printing company until retiring. Ramona was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed being in her kitchen making home cooked meals and baking their many ‘favorite’ recipes ‘like only Mom could make.’ She cherished her grandchildren and spending time with them.
Ramona is survived by her husband Kenneth of 60 years; four sons, Brad (Donna) Bartl of Fargo; Bruce (LeAnn) Bartl of Buffalo, MN; Rick (Linda) Bartl of Aberdeen, SD; and Barry (David Williams) Bartl of San Diego, CA; sister, Roberta (John) Klinkhammer of Alexandria, MN; grandchildren, Dr. Jessica (Nathan) Jackson, Matt Bartl, Ryan Bartl, Luke Bartl, Kevin Woolum, Robin Perrin and Erica Curran; great- grandchildren, Kyle Wyrick and Julia Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Robins; and two sisters, Bonnie Johnson, and Connie White
