Rodney Duane Hanson

Rodney D. Hanson, 77 of Fort Ransom died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home.

Rodney was born on June 26, 1941 to Arthur and Ethel (Berntson) Hanson in Valley City, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Fort Ransom, where he spent his entire life. Rodney was also willing to lend a helping hand to a neighbor or friend when needed.

Rodney enjoyed feeding the birds, putting puzzles together and making small items out of wood.

Rodney is survived by his siblings, Myrna Schmelebeck of Milwaukee, WI; Richard (Nancy) Hanson of Lisbon, ND; Leona (Myron) Kulsrud of McHenry, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother-in-law, Marvin Schmelebeck and niece, Camille Fitterer.
