Annette E. Hardy, 77 of Gwinner, North Dakota died Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home.
Annette was born on January 26, 1942 the daughter of Donald and Jeanette (Friess) Willis in Eden, South Dakota. She was raised and educated in Eden, she graduated from high school in 1959. Annette attended cosmetology school in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Richard Hardy on November 4, 1961. They made their home in Roslyn, South Dakota where Richard and Annette owned Rich’s Bar. Annette also operated her beauty salon during this time. In 1976, they moved to Gwinner, where Annette worked at Cary McDaniel’s beauty salon and was also the bookkeeper for Gwinner Farmers Elevator until her retirement in 2001.
They retired to their home on Clear Lake, South Dakota. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and having coffee with friends. Annette also enjoyed baking goodies for her family, especially her caramel rolls. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Annette is survived by her daughter, Trudi (Doug) Christensen of Gwinner, ND; sons, Trent (Julie) Hardy of Fargo, ND; Ryan (Shelly) Hardy of Aberdeen, SD; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Bolander of Lisbon, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard (2018), grandson, Cody Christensen and brother-in-law, John Bolander.
