Arlene Catherine (Visser) Rieger

  Arlene Catherine Rieger (Visser) , 87, died peacefully in hospice care in Mesa, AZ on May 3, 2021. Arlene was born on July 22, 1933 in Maple Plain, MN to Arie Visser and Amy (Johnson) Visser. She was raised and educated in Maple Plain. After serving in the US air force, she moved to Minneapolis/Richfield, MN.  She married Thomas Rieger on 1/12/1962, and they raised 3 sons Kevin Rieger, Jeffrey Rieger and Douglas Rieger. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1983 where owned a home and a business. 

  Arlene is survived by her husband Thomas Rieger, of Mesa AZ, and sons Kevin Rieger ( Theresa Rieger ) of Forest lake, MN and Douglas Rieger of New port news and daughter in law Lori Rieger of Savage MN. Brothers: Arie Visser, Mound MN, Harry Visser Maple Plain, MN. Sisters: Corrine Brodin MT Juliet , TN, Arlette Murta. Maple Grove, Mn and Carolyn Schmieg Victoria, MN. Brother in law: Gary Rieger of Lisbon, ND.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Megan ( Rieger) Allen and ( Zach Allen ) of Lindstrom, MN, Katlyn Rieger and Jacquelyn Rieger of Forest Lake , MN. Christina Rieger and Samantha ( Rieger) Fincham and ( Paul Fincham) of Richmond, VA.  6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Arlene  was preceded in death by her parents: ( Arie and Amy Visser) Father and brothers Arnie Visser and  Barnie Visser. In-laws ( Clarence and Louise Rieger). Her son ( Jeffrey Rieger,)  3 brothers in law  ( Robert Rieger, John Rieger and Donald Rieger) and 2 sisters in law ( Clarice Ready and Dolores Devitt)
