Bernie’s love of stories carried him through 91 years of an amazing life with family and friends. Every obstacle, even health issues as a child was an opportunity for sharing of a great story. There are many chapters in a 91 year-long story, but the following chapters were some of Bernie’s favorites.

How to chase a rooster when you can’t walk and come out on top.
Gravel in the fuel tank of the car, next day gravel in the spark plug holes.
Farming and ranching from A to Z.
Who’s ready for happy hour, pull tabs and a game of pinochle?
It’s a fine time to go out dancing, play some pool or ride in saddle club.
Exploring the country one construction job at a time.
How to carry a box of dynamite and not blow yourself up.
The road to California is paved with deli meat and B2 bomber‘s.
