Cody Rader, 35 of Lisbon, North Dakota died Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in rural Steele County, North Dakota.
Cody was born on January 6, 1986, the son of Ronald and Laura (Short) Rader in Devils Lake, North Dakota. He was raised in Lakota, North Dakota until his Sophomore year when his family moved to Lisbon. Cody graduated from Lisbon High School in 2004. He later moved to Fargo and worked various jobs, before returning to Lisbon and working at Bobcat. Later, Cody went to work as a carpenter with his brother at W.I.T Construction and then with Brad Dahl.
Cody was a junkyard and Dollar Store enthusiast. He enjoyed listening to music and playing and watching basketball. Cody was also a huge fan of Michael Jordan. Cody spent his free time taking things apart to figure out how they worked, and helping his dad in the wood shop building new ways for his mom to display her flowers.
Cody will be missed by his loving parents, Ron and Laura Rader of Lisbon, ND; three brothers, Chad (Melissa) Rader of Michigan, ND; Cory (Ashley) Rader of Gilbert, AZ; Derrick (Bridgette) Rader of Lisbon, ND; nephew, Gavin; nieces, Hayden and Kennedy; step grandmother, Shirley Short of Cooperstown, ND; numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins; his special dog, Boo.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Violet Rader, Terry and Gayle Short, brother, Kyle, aunt, Jean Short, uncles, Jeff Hazemann and David Norgard and cousin, Brandon Klein.
