Doreen Rosa May (Hall) Hansen

Doreen Rosa May (Hall) Hansen, 92 of Gwinner, North Dakota died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota. 

Doreen was born on August 18, 1925, the only child of Horace William Hall and Rosanna Eliza (Platten) Hall in Norwich, Norfolk, England. She met Ardell Hansen of Forman, North Dakota when he was stationed at Bungy Army Air Base in England during WWII. They married on March 22, 1945 in England. Their oldest daughter was born in England. Doreen and Carolyn sailed to America upon Ardell's discharge from the military in May of 1946. They resided in the Forman area until 1960, when they moved to Gwinner. Ardell passed away in December of 2004. Doreen continued to live in their home until her passing. 

Doreen’s family was something she treasured dearly. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing and a good cup of tea. 

Doreen is survived by her children, Carolyn (Steve) Jacobson of Gwinner, ND; Judith Greenley of Lisbon; David (Donna) Hansen, Rodney (Paula) Hansen and Lannae (Miles) Johnson all of Gwinner, ND; Kevin (Tracy) Hansen of Milnor, ND; Trudy (Duane) Peterson of Gwinner , ND; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. 

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, husband of almost 60 years, Ardell and toddler daughter, Gail and son-in-law, Clinton Greenley.
