Esther M. (Stram) Moellenkamp

Esther M. Moellenkamp, 93, of Cheyenne WY, formerly Lisbon ND, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18 in her home with family at her side.

Esther was born on May 10, 1926 to Olgar & Elizabeth (Dorn) Stram. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Elliott ND.

She married Robert Moellenkamp on October 19, 1947. They farmed and raised cattle with Bob’s parents for several years and then took over the operation. Esther and Bob had four children, Scott, Randall, Jeffrey and Lisa.

Esther was not only a wife and mother, she helped in every aspect of the farming operation. She had many hobbies including gardening, traveling, crocheting and knitting. She was a wonderful mother and enjoyed raising her kids and taking care of her grandchildren.

Esther and Bob loved to travel. They took many trips out west to visit relatives and often traveled with friends and family. They spent 24 years wintering in Texas and Arizona where they met many wonderful friends and had many great adventures.

In 2005 they moved from the family farm into Lisbon. In 2015 they moved to Cheyenne, WY to live near their daughter, Lisa.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her siblings, Rachael Kempel, Inez Watson and Harold Stram and her sons, Scott, Randall and Jeffrey. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Joy Miller), grandsons Matthew (Melissa) Moellenkamp, Josh Moellenkamp, Eric (Angela) Moellenkamp, Craig (Lindsey) Moellenkamp, Chris (Katie) Fassler, Josh Fassler and eight great grandchildren.
