Kale Brandon Anderson

Kale Brandon Anderson, 36 of Milnor, North Dakota, died unexpectantly on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at his home in Milnor, North Dakota.

Kale was born on March 7, 1984, the son of Wayne and Margaret (McDonnell) Anderson in Hankinson, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Gwinner, graduating from North Sargent High School in 2003. Kale worked as a bartender at the Overtime Bar in Gwinner, until moving to Milnor, where he was a bartender and cook at Hump’s Bar and Grill until the time of his death.

Kale was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, which to his doctor's amazement, he overcame and conquered. To know Kale was to love Kale, there is not a kinder or more caring person around. Kale's biggest passion in life was cooking good food for everyone to enjoy. He received his greatest joy from other's enjoyment of eating his delicious food. It would not be alarming to have Kale give you different food or drinks to test out his latest concoctions, which we have to admit, were usually pretty damn good. Kale especially loved hanging out with his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle person with such an easy-going personality and would do his best to help turn anyone's bad day around. Some of Kale's other joys in life were playing pool, golfing, hunting, and, most importantly, the Denver Broncos.

Kale is survived by his parents, Wayne and Margaret Anderson of Gwinner, ND; siblings, Kristopher (Rachel) Anderson of Bismarck, ND; Kirsten (Travis Swanson) Anderson of Gwinner, ND; Kerry Anderson of Milnor, ND; Keely Lehmann of Milnor, ND; Klancy (James) Tindall of Gwinner, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Marlene (Orvin) Hogness, Milnor, ND; Cheryl Roder of Milnor, ND; Warren (Barb) Anderson of Lisbon, ND; Marc (Gail) Anderson of Wyndemere, ND; Curt (Jean) Anderson of Milnor, ND; Tim (Tammy) Anderson of Leonard, ND; Patrick (Gail) McDonnell of Anderson, NC.

Kale was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Kelsey Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center (820 4th St. N. Fargo, ND 58102).

Visitation and Prayer Service: Thursday, July 30, 2020, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Milnor Lutheran Church, Milnor, ND, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

A Celebration of life will be held at Hump’s Bar and Grill on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.

Interment: St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Lisbon, ND
