Kimberly Dodds Obituary

Kimberly Pearl Dodds, 59 of Lisbon, North Dakota, died Friday, June 21, 2019 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale, North Dakota.

Kim was born on February 10, 1960, the daughter of Robert and Eva (Andreah) Collins in Dayton, Ohio. Her family moved to Sabin, Minnesota when she was very young after her parents purchased Red River Scales Company in Sabin. She attended school in Glyndon-Felton, graduating in 1978. Kim then attending St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Fargo. After graduation and passing her board examine, she moved to Lisbon to start her nursing career.

Kim was united in marriage to Michael Dodds on February 12, 1983 in Dent, Minnesota. They made their home in Lisbon and Kim continued her nursing career until her health forced her to retire. Even though her health was a constant struggle, she was always willing to take care of others before herself. Kim was also there to support Michael and always made sure things got done. She loved to work around the house, especially outside, tending to her flowers and plants.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Michael Dodds of Lisbon, ND; sister-in-law, Susan Collins; two nieces and a nephew.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bobby Collins.

Michael would like to thank the staff at Prince of Peace Care Center for the wonderful care that Kim received during her time at the care center. 

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery
