Leon Duane Freeberg

Leon D Freeberg 87 of Lisbon ND died Sunday October 25, 2020 at Sanford on Broadway, Fargo ND.

Leon was born March 25, 1933 to Walter and Audrey (Moellenkamp) Freeberg in Lisbon ND. He was born and raised in Lisbon and enlisted in the Army in1950 where he served in Vietnam, Korea, Greenland, and Germany.  

Leon retired from the Army Sargent First Class in June of 1974 and moved back to Lisbon where he worked at the ND Veterans Home and then at the Ransom County Courthouse.

Leon is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Freeberg; son Steven (Mona) Freeberg; daughters Suzanne (Steve) Anderson; Kristie (Steven) Reinke; grandchildren; Ryan (Amber) Anderson; Samuel Reinke; Justin (Chelsea) Reinke; Jennifer (Ben) Gibson, Kersten Freeberg, Megan Freeberg; one great grandson Miles Reinke; sister Sandra (Bob) Hill; and sister-in-law Dorothy Freeberg.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Lawrence Freeberg, Richard Freeberg, sisters; Lois Seelye, and Laurel Maley.

A graveside service for family will be held in November at the Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon ND.
