Lester Rangeloff, 69 of Nome, North Dakota died Monday, May 24, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota.
Les was born on July 26, 1951 the son of Peter and Emma (Wolfer) Rangeloff in McLaughlin, South Dakota. He was raised in Walker, South Dakota and was educated in McIntosh, South Dakota. He served in the United States Marine Corp and after receiving an honorable discharge moved to Jamestown, North Dakota to work construction.
Les was united in marriage to Nancy Moorberg in Spencer, Iowa on April 13, 1974. He started a construction company until they moved to Williston, where Les worked in the oil fields for five years. They returned to the Marion area and Les started Roughrider Building Systems. After many years of building post frame buildings Les and Cal added over the road trucking to the business. While living in Fort Ransom, ND in 2006, Les and Nancy purchased the lumber yard in Enderlin and renamed it Circle R Lumber and Farm Supply.
Les enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family. Les also enjoyed coffee at the local restaurant with friends in Enderlin talking local news and politics.
Les is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; loving son, Calvin (Sarah); granddaughter, Calleigh Jo all of Nome, ND; siblings, Myron (Jacque) Rangeloff of Scribner, NE; Esther (Jerome) Hanson of Eldridge, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.
Les was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters; Virginia, Betty, Ramona, Rosella and five brothers Larry, Roger, Delbert, Russell, Donald, and his faithful companion dog, Boo.
