Lucille Ethel Campbell, 92 of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Lisbon, North Dakota passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Sumner Place, Lincoln, NE. Lucille was born on November 7, 1927 in Lisbon, ND, the daughter of Albin and Agnes (Mashek) Krchnavy. She was raised and educated in rural Ransom County. Lucille was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Campbell on May 6, 1951 in LaMoure, ND. They made their home near Gwinner, ND, where they farmed. In 1995, they moved to Lisbon until 2002, when they moved to Lincoln, to be closer to their daughter and her family.
Lucille spent her days supporting Hank on their dairy farm. She kept an immaculate home and no one ever left hungry. One of her greatest joys were her gardens and yard, all pristine. She also enjoyed embroidery in her spare time, supplying her family with beautiful table clothes and dish towels to be remembered by.
Lucille is survived by her children, Darvin Campbell of Wahpeton, ND; Peggy (Bob) Ruhn of Lincoln, NE; Scott Campbell of Covina, CA; two grandchildren, Andrea (Nathan) Blake of Des Moines IA, Kelli Ruhn of Englewood, CO; three great-grandchildren, Campbell, Judah and Oscar Blake; numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank (2013), five brothers, Albin, Emil, Eddie, Stanley and Charlie Krchnavy; and three sisters, Bessie Bartl, Georgia Urbach and Pauline Kempel.
Masks are required for those attending the visitation and service for Lucille.
