Mary M. Haecherl, 83 of Lisbon, North Dakota died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, North Dakota.
Mary was born on August 18, 1936, the daughter of Charlie and Ruth (Lester) Carter in Lisbon. She attended country school in Shenford Township of rural Ransom County, North Dakota and high school in Lisbon. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph Haecherl on September 17, 1953 in Lisbon. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Washington State before moving back to Lisbon in 1956. They owned and operated Dinty Moore café in Lisbon, after they sold the business, Mary worked at the Steakout. She eventually went to work at the Lisbon Hospital, where she retired as an X-Ray Technician.
During her retirement years she enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her sons, Mike (Sherry) Haecherl of Tulsa, OK; Fred (Stacey) Haecherl and Jerry (Lisa) Haecherl both of Lisbon, ND; daughter, Mary Jo (Todd) Ose of Lisbon, ND; daughter-in-law, Linda Haecherl of Fargo, ND; eighteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen Wilke of Lisbon, ND; Ruth Eberhard of Enderlin, ND; sisters-in-law, Lois Carter, Norann Carter and Katherine Haecherl; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe (2015), sons, Frank and Joey, daughter, Corrine Johnson, granddaughter, Autumn Haecherl, brothers, Ernest and Harland Carter, sisters, Eileen Brunton and Elsie Olson.
