Patrick Michael Boyle

Patrick M. Boyle, 92 of Alice, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with his family by his side at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin, North Dakota.

Pat was born on June 27, 1926, the son of Cornelius and Katherine (Zink) Boyle in Fargo, North Dakota. He was raised and attended country school in the Chaffee/Alice area. Pat graduated from Enderlin High School and as a young man began his lifelong career of farming on the Boyle farmstead. He was united in marriage to Mary Spiekermeier on October 30, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sheldon, North Dakota. They made their home on the farm and besides tending to the fields, Pat also milked Brown Swiss Cows for thirty years. During his semi-retirement years, he helped his son, Kelly on the farm until the age of 88. 

Pat enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and reading. He also enjoyed spending sometime in Arizona during the winter, spending time with his neighbors and visiting National Parks throughout the United States. Pat cherished time spent with his family. 

Pat is survived by his loving wife, of 69 years, Mary Boyle of Alice, ND; his children, Kathy Bradley of Beulah, ND; John (Diane) Boyle of Alice, ND; Dennis (Julie) Boyle of Duluth, MN; Mary Pat (Kent) Sorvik of Onamia, MN; Polly (Craig) Roe of Kindred, ND; Kelly (Vera) Boyle of Alice, ND; twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren; sister, Jerry Sittauer of Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Shawn, son-in-law, Jamie Bradley, sister, Kathleen Milburn and brother, Mike Boyle.

Interment: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sheldon, ND
