Paula Kay Anderson

Paula K. Anderson, 47 of rural Milnor, North Dakota died Thursday, June 11, 2020 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident in rural Sargent County, North Dakota.

 Paula was born on March 14, 1973, the daughter of Wilfred and Donna (Nelson) Anderson in Lisbon, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Lisbon, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1991. Paula then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. A few years later in 1994 her son, Anthony was born. He was the light of her life and he made her so proud of the man he became. Paula and Anthony moved back to Lisbon in 1995 and she began her career at Bobcat. She started on general assembly and eventually became lead implementer on the day shift. Paula was an active union member, participating in Women of Steel and many other union activities. Regularly helped organize benefits, fun runs and other community activities. Paula also served as trustee on the executive board for the USW Local 560. She had recently moved to rural Milnor.

Paula enjoyed camping, tending to her flowers and riding ATV with Derek. She will be remembered as a fun, loving, free spirit with also a little bit stubborn side and a great laugh.

Paula is survived by her son, Anthony Whirlwind Soldier of West Fargo, ND; father, Wilfred Anderson of Lisbon, ND; step-father, Dennis Hagen of Verona, ND; brother, Brian (Kristi) Anderson of Fort Ransom, ND; niece and nephew, Kasen and Kelby Anderson; loving companion, Derek Murphy of Milnor, ND; special friends, Chad and Darla Woodbury of Lisbon, ND; Juli Schultz of Lisbon, ND;  Josh Peterson and Lexi Woodbury who she treated like another son and daughter.

Paula was preceded by her mother, Donna Hagen.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley (1701 38th St. S. Suite 101 Fargo, ND 58103).
