Ronald Wallner Obituary

Ronald L. Wallner of Lisbon, North Dakota passed away on June 10, 2019.

Ron was born on January 17, 1950, the son of Kenneth and Ethel (Lemnus) Wallner in Sheldon, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Enderlin, graduating from Enderlin High School in 1968. Ron attended Valley City State on a wrestling scholarship until a motorcycle injury caused him to withdraw his enrollment. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and after receiving an honorable discharge in 1970 returned to Enderlin and started his career at Bobcat. Ron married MaryBeth Frey on June 27, 1981 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon. They made their home in Fort Ransom until moving to Lisbon in 1989. Ron retired from Bobcat after 40 years, in May of 2012.

Ron enjoyed hunting with Labrador Retrievers, fishing and snow blowing whenever there was a flake of snow. He enjoyed time spent with his sons and grandchildren. He was always the entertainer.

Ron is survived by his wife, MaryBeth Wallner of Lisbon, two sons, Todd Wallner of Gwinner, ND;  Wade (Marya) Wallner of Spicer, MN; two grandchildren, Brynlee and Carson; brothers, Gary (Gloria) Wallner of Monroe, LA; Steven (Colleen) Wallner of Slidell, LA; Kim (Beth) Wallner of Lisbon, ND; mother-in-law, Carol Frey of Lisbon, ND; in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, son, Chad Wallner, brother, Hal Wallner and father-in-law, Carl Frey.
